To se\u00a0 \u010desto ponavlja, iako je pogre\u0161no ili u najbolju ruku povr\u0161no obja\u0161njeno. \u010cak i kod masera vole spomenuti da je mlije\u010dna kiselina odgovorna za upale, te da \u0107emo je masa\u017eom odstraniti. Istina je da mlije\u010dna kiselina nije kriva za upalu mi\u0161i\u0107a. Za upalu mi\u0161i\u0107a odgovorne su mikro ozljede u tkivu koje nastaju kad je mi\u0161i\u0107 umoran i ote\u010den. Ako taj mi\u0161i\u0107 nastavimo optere\u0107ivati,\u00a0 mikro ozljede postaju brojnije. \u0106elijama mi\u0161i\u0107a se o\u0161te\u0107uje membrana, te se u me\u0111ustani\u010dni prostor izlijeva protein koji na sebe vu\u010de vodu iz kapilara. Zato nam mi\u0161i\u0107i oti\u010du.\u00a0 Zbog oticanja mi\u0161i\u0107a i paralelnih procesa kojim tkivo\u00a0 zarasta,\u00a0 na\u0161i \u017eivci ukazuju na problem, koji mi osje\u0107amo kao bol.
